Meet the Animals
Welcome to the family—where chaos has a heartbeat and every creature has a title, a job (sort of), and a story worth sharing.
🐖 Pigs & Piglets
Dottie — Matriarch of Mayhem Queen of the Pig Pen and proud mom to the OG piglets. Leads with love, snacks, and attitude.
Penny — Reluctant Mother, Full-Time Diva Still adjusting to motherhood. Prefers solo spa days and outdoor naps to playdates.
Georgie — The Shameless Stud Charmer, flirt, and founding father of many farm stories. Georgie struts through life like he’s posing for a romance cover — all confidence, zero shame. Equal parts trouble and tenderness.
Dottie’s Piglets — The Originals • Sabi (Wasabi): Tiny black-and-white girl; spicy and confident. • Carl: Tiny ginger boy; gentle and soulful. • Uno: One-eared black-and-white boy; loud, proud, and farm-famous. • Speck: Big black-and-white boy; mellow and snuggly. • Gronk: Big ginger boy; bold, food-motivated, and charmingly oblivious. • Rosie: Ginger girl; sweet, calm, natural farm queen.
Penny’s Piglets — The Porch Graduates • Freddie: The biggest, loudest, and most confident of the litter. • Pedro: Smallest boy and former IPU (Intensive Piglet Unit) patient, now thriving. • Evie: Ginger with freckles across her back—curious and fast. • Millie: Black spot on her back leg; affectionate troublemaker. • Paisley: All ginger, all attitude—the leader of the girl gang and most inspired to be social media famous.
How you can help: Donations support feed, shelter, and ongoing care as they grow.
🐴 Horses Khali, Phoenix, and Teki — The Equine Council
Khali runs the show, Phoenix worries about the show, and Teki thinks everyone should take a nap.
How you can help: Donations support feed, hay, farrier visits, supplements, and veterinary care.
🐑 Sheep
Jack & Jill — The Drama Twins Freshly shorn after a day that tested everyone’s patience. Jack took it in stride; Jill mounted three escape attempts and briefly considered fainting as a coping mechanism. Both now visibly lighter—in body and spirit.
Ellie — The trend-setter with extra black markings.
Willow — Believes she’s a dog, not a sheep. Prefers leaning on humans to grazing.
How you can help: Donations support feed, hay, hoof care, and routine veterinary care.
🐐Goats
Captain Bob — Bob likes to put on a show and remind everyone he’s in charge… but behind the attitude, he’s really just a softy. He’s all bark, a little bit of bluff, and a whole lot of personality. One leg shorter, zero complaints
Patches
Patches is absolutely convinced that every feeding is meant specifically for him. Food is his love language, and he has fully integrated himself into daily life on the farm… often alongside the chickens and his friend Paisley.
He’s a constant presence, always looking for snacks and reminding us that personality comes in all forms.
How you can help: Donations support feed, enrichment, and ongoing care.
The Flock 🐔
Our flock is always changing as we take in rescues and say goodbye to others. Some come from difficult situations, and all are given the space to live safely and freely.
You’ll often find them following us around the farm, scratching through the grass, or keeping a close eye on feeding time.
How you can help: Donations support feed, shelter, and ongoing care for the flock.
🐱 Cats — The Feline Division
Hulky — Senior Field Agent
Dependable, efficient, and occasionally to unionize for extra pets.
Casper — Director of Unauthorized Entry
Currently under review for repeated dog-door violations. Strong believer of indoor naps.
Spook — Head of Outdoor Security
Prefers solitude, pool decks, and butterfly gardens.
Ziyah & Nugget — Junior Morale Officers
Innovative. Persistent. Known to demand attention by scratching screens. Ziyah believes laps exist exclusively for her personal use and maintains a near-constant purr setting. Nugget also enjoys affection...but prefers all four feet safely on the ground during interactions.
Cimba, Duke & Maevyn — Interns, Feline Division
Newer hires… loud, loving, and perpetually purring. Duke prefers observation over participation and has fully embraced his role as Captain Curiosity, supervising farm activity from a safe distance. Maevyn dramatically collapses at your feet no matter where you are standing, while Cimba (often alongside Ziyah) has developed the habit of rubbing against your legs before scaling humans with tiny claws, if not picked up quickly enough.
Ralph & Roman — Indoor Operations
Specializing in strategic entry through the laundry room door and possibly our spiciest additions to the feline division of VFF. They quickly identified the benefits of indoor living and have made themselves right at home. They have also formed a trio with Lola, the French bulldog puppy...though sources close to the situation suggest Lola made this decision unilaterally
ThorV2
ThorV2 joined Valentin Family Farm just over a week ago, and watching him decompress and begin to trust has already been incredibly special. Every rescued animal adjusts differently, but so far he’s settling in gently, learning the routines, and fitting into the herd with ease.
How you can help: Donations support food, litter, enrichment, and veterinary care for the entire feline division...plus whatever administrative chaos they create behind the scenes.
🐶 Dogs — Indoor Affairs Department
Maximus — Director of Security and Emotional Support (Self-Appointed) Survivor, shadow, and salami enthusiast. Lives with joint injuries and seizures but still insists laps are shared property. Favorite phrase: “If I can’t see you, are you even working?”
Koda — Chief of Operations and Mentorship Retired farm dog turned life coach for Maximus. Beloved by all—except the occasional mud puddle she refuses to ignore.
Lola 🐾
Lola came to us as a hospice rescue, needing comfort, care, and a safe place to land. While we don’t know exactly how much time we have with her, we do know that every day matters.
Our focus is simple… to make sure she feels safe, loved, and comfortable.
How you can help: Donations support medical care, medications, mobility support, supplies, and daily care.
🐢 Special Mention — Tortilla the Tortoise Discovered when she was just bigger than a quarter, Tortilla lives in her custom patio condo until she’s large enough for open-pasture life. Her forever home will be built into the butterfly garden—a slow and steady dream in progress.
🏡 Alumni — Lovingly Rehomed Animals who’ve moved on to new homes but will always be part of our story.
Gracie – Gentle cow turned professional babysitter at a nearby farm. Living her best life, adored by her new herd.
Lilly – Off-Site Emotional Support Specialist: Loyal companion to Natalie’s parents and sister; thriving as an only dog with a full-time snuggle schedule and has perfected the art of gentle presence.
🌾 Forever Crew — Gone But Grazing Elsewhere
Those we’ve lost, whose love built the heartbeat of this farm.
Diesel – Our first heartbreak and our beginning. The spark that turned grief into something bigger—a farm, a purpose, a family.
Rocco – The first to call the pasture home. The one who showed us what “farm family” meant.
Tucker – Beloved pot-bellied philosopher and snack enthusiast.
Zeus – Gentle lamb with a big name and a bigger heart.
Luna – The explorer of our original feline trio; we still look for her shadow at dusk.
Brock – Steady soul, guardian of naps, friend to all. [photo placeholders]
Thor - Calm, affectionate, and loved lap naps; he will always be part of the Valentin Family Farm story. His time here mattered, and he is forever part of this space.
